Wyoming Articles Need a Registered-Agent Street Address

Wyoming Articles of Organization include a registered-agent block. Bizee's Wyoming LLC page says you designate a registered agent with a physical Wyoming address. Northwest's Wyoming walkthrough treats the agent block as a required Articles field. Those are form instructions on their pages. This draft stays on that field. The field on the Articles

The block asks for an agent name and a Wyoming street address that can take service of process. A P.O. box is not that street. A virtual mailbox slogan is not that street. Confirm the live SOS instructions before you type.

The address on the Articles is public in the filing record. Banks, exchanges, and other institutions can still ask for ownership details through KYC. Competitor homepages that sell "keeping your home address private" are talking about this field, not about KYC. Do not collapse those two.

If the agent line does not match a real Wyoming street, the Articles are not ready for the cashier step. A name that cleared WyoBiz still fails if the agent block is empty or uses a non-street line the portal rejects.

Write the agent name the same way on the appointment and on the Articles. Abbreviations that look fine in chat can bounce at submit. Suite, floor, and building labels belong on the street line only when they match the agent's written appointment.

What this field is not

It is not an Amazon warehouse address. It is not a bank introduction. It is not a promise that the LLC is anonymous. Fortress /pricing already says the commercial packet is not a virtual mailbox and not a KYC address. This blog does not reprint that catalog. It only names the Articles field.

It is not the principal office block. Principal office and mailing address are separate rows on the same form. Copying the agent street into every row without reading the labels is a submit error, not a strategy.

How to submit it

Print the agent name and street exactly as they will appear on WyoBiz. Match the print to the agent's written appointment. If the appointment uses a different spelling, suite, or city, stop. Fix the packet. Then submit.

Before you hit pay on WyoBiz, re-read three lines: agent name, street number and road, city and ZIP. If any character differs from the appointment letter, do not submit. Fix the packet first.

Keep a copy of the filed Articles PDF after the portal accepts it. The agent street on that PDF is the street you will need again when a bank, exchange, or counterparty asks what Wyoming has on file.

If you change agents later, update the SOS record through the process Wyoming publishes for that change. Do not leave the Articles street pointing at an office that no longer accepts service.
