The $60 Wyoming Annual-Report Minimum
Annual-report filings in Wyoming start at a $60 license-tax minimum on the competitor and state lines in the 2026-08-24 memo. Northwest's Wyoming LLC page says the yearly minimum fee is $60 "to keep it going" and later walks the asset formula. Inc Authority's how-to page says "Maintaining an LLC in Wyoming costs as little as $60 per year, which is the minimum annual report fee charged by the Wyoming Secretary of State." Those are their sentences about a state line. They are not a Fortress subscription.
A filing desk treats the report as a later form. Articles of Organization are year-zero paper. The report is the next SOS form on the anniversary month. Mixing the two fees into one "Wyoming costs $160" slogan hides the calendar.
The form, the month, and the asset block
Competitor pages in the memo put the due date on the first day of the anniversary month. Confirm that date on the live entity record. The form asks the state file to be brought current: addresses, agent block, and the Wyoming-asset figure used for the license-tax math.
Northwest describes the math this way: if assets are less than $300,000, pay the $60 minimum; if they are over, pay $0.0002 per dollar (their example: $400,000 of assets, $80). Inc Authority describes the same $60-or-$0.0002-times-Wyoming-assets rule and gives a $500,000 / $100 example. Use those as competitor restatements. Fill the asset block from records, not from a blog example.
The report can be filed online on the pages those companies describe. Submit is a click. The fee line moves with the form. Acceptance is the state's act.
Three $60 lines that are not the same $60
The memo allows three state figures to be quoted: $100 Articles, $60 annual-report minimum, $60 sales-tax license. The two $60 lines are easy to mash together. They are not the same form.
The annual-report $60 (or the higher asset result) is a Secretary of State license-tax line on the report. The sales-tax license $60 is a WYIFS line, and only if that license applies. A name reservation, on Inc Authority and Bizee name pages, is another $60 / 120-day mail form. Write the payee and the form name on the receipt. Do not store three different $60 receipts as one "Wyoming sixty."
The $100 Articles line does not prepay any of those $60 lines. A Fortress packet on /pricing does not rewrite them.
What the $60 is not
The $60 minimum is not a standing promise. This draft will not say that payment keeps an entity in a named status. It is not a Fortress reminder product by itself. It is not a dissolve clock. Inc Authority's 60-day dissolve sentence lives on their page and is quoted in a separate draft as their line. Do not glue that sentence onto this fee.
The $60 minimum is also not a tax-result story. It is a form fee those pages attach to the annual report. Federal filings, if any, are outside this note. Do not treat $60 as "Wyoming tax is settled."
How a filing desk runs the report
Keep the accepted Articles, the anniversary month, the current agent street address, and the asset worksheet in one folder. Open the report. Match the name to the state's file. Pay the $60 floor or the higher asset result those pages describe. Save the receipt next to last year's receipt.
If you want a commercial packet that includes later filing work, look at /pricing. This draft does not restate SKUs. The $60 SOS line remains a state cashier line either way.
What Fortress will and will not say
Fortress files, forms, and submits. This draft will not promise a status after the report. It will not promise that a reminder equals a filed form. It will not invent a commercial number and call it an annual report.
What it will say: the memo's competitor and state lines quote $60 as the annual-report minimum. The form has an anniversary month. Live Fortress paths sit on /pricing.
